Normative framework requirements
The normative framework distinguishes between a plant of the process industry and a machine. Depending on it the respective requirements are described in the particular standard. Machine manufacturers or control cabinet manufactureres in the plant construction are often uncertain wether the safety review has to be conducted for a machine or a processing facility.

ZANDER safety relay in a control cabinet without needing a screwdriver

Now available are plug-in tensile spring terminals for the safety relays of the complete SR- series produced by ZANDER AACHEN. They enable an easy wiring with “Push-In” technology. For devices with dual pin assignment, there are dual tensile spring terminals EKLT4 available.

Spring terminals provide an advantage for the installation as well as in case of replacement compare to “traditional” fixed terminals.

Already the plug-in screw terminals EKLS4 provide the ability of a clear wiring and the avoidance of failures by the wiring in case of replacement. This saves time and money!

The expansion of the series to plug-in terminals with “Push-In” technology is the next consequent step. Simple push in of the wires in the connectors without screwing and other tools provides a further saving of time during installation.

The terminals enable a wiring with cable cross-section from 0.2 to 1.5 mm². This is effective for rigid wire as well as for flexible wire with wire end ferrule.

Compact Safety Coupling Relay up to PL e/ SILCL 3:

The new safety coupling relay SK3D from Zander is convincing through high performance with simplest wiring (saving 60% wiring and costs compared with a standard safety relay in a similar application), all in a compact housing of just 22.5 mm. The wiring is possible with fixed or plug-in screw terminals or with plug-in spring-cage terminals. Cyclical self-monitoring saves the feedback circuit to a safe PLC. SK3D has 3 safety contacts (NO) and 1 auxiliary contact (NC). Furthermore 230 VAC- and 24 VDC-signals can be switches independently.

With a maximum switching load of 5 A for each disabling contact at AC-15 250 V and 4 A with DC-13 24V even greater loads can be reliably switched.

Thanks to an input filter the SK3D can be operated directly on clocked outputs of safety controllers and sensors. To apply the SK3D also in existing installations variants for 24 VDC operating voltage as well as for 115 VAC and 230 VAC are available.

The SK3D meets the highest safety requirements Cat 4 / PL e / SILCL 3 according to EN ISO 13849-1 as well as IEC 62061 and is therefore perfectly suitable for contact extension and contact reinforcement of safety controllers. Additionally the SK3D is certified for the use in furnaces and ancillary equipment in continuously mode according to EN 50156-1 and EN 746-2 for industrial thermoprocessing equipment and thus also designed for applications in the process technology.

Code-MZ is a coded tamperproofed safety switch for the process protection in machinery and plant engineering.

The ZCode-MZ has been developed to provide a realiable door interlock. Coding is achieved by using radio frequency (RFID) and magnetic technology, both principles need to be satisfied for the switch to operate safely. This redundant diverse structure provides the highest degree of anti-tamper, virtually impossible to override. The different housing materials allow the use in almost any environments, including high pressure cleaning following contamination from foreign particles. (e.g. Pharma and Food Industry).

The Stainless Steel 316 version of the ZCode-MZE incorporates a Stainless Steel magnet and has an IP69K ingress protection rating making it suitable for CIP and SIP processes. ZCode-MZ has a high specified polymer body material.
